Benefits of APNIC training sponsorship

APNIC training

APNIC is one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) in the world and is responsible for providing vital Internet resource allocation and registration services to the Asia Pacific Internet community. It is a not-for-profit membership organisation, hence its training activities are conducted primarily as a service to members and the broader Internet community within the region. The charter of the APNIC training team is to educate the Internet community in the effective management of Internet resources.

To deliver effective training courses, a manageable class size is important (50 - 60 attendees is a recommended figure). However, if response to a course exceeds expectation, alternative arrangements can be made to cater for such needs without sacrificing effectiveness. Nominal course fees are charged to partially recover the cost of running each training event. To keep costs down, and to ensure that this training is available to a wider audience, APNIC seeks assistance from sponsors.
