Who should attend?
The targeted audience for this workshop are networking professionals who are responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining networks. Participants should already possess the following basic skills:
- OSI reference model hierarchical knowledge
- Clear understanding of the internetworking foundation
Course length
3 days, but may vary depending on individual course requirements and arrangements.
Objectives
The workshop will provide participants with the knowledge to:
- Identify the design requirements in running a network
- Perform IP addressing best practices for the network infrastructure
- Configure a router running in a simulated network environment
- Use appropriate routing protocols that will handle the traffic flow to address the reliability, redundancy, and performance requirements of a network
- Configure Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) and Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP) such as the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) for IGP and Border Gateway Protocol version 4 (BGPv4) for EGP
