Maintainer template

The person template is used to create a new person object that can be used as:

  • admin-c/tech-c of the new maintainer object
  • a contact point for objects representing Internet resources in the APNIC Whois Database

If you already have an existing person object you wish to refer to in the maintainer object, please delete the person template attached and replace it with a copy of your existing object.

Attributes in person template:

The person name (person) should accurately identify the person this object represents. You must use both the given name and surname of the person. The database cannot accept person objects that contain only one name. If you have only a given name without a surname, please enter your given name twice.

Do not use titles such as Mr, Ms, and Dr as part of the person's name.

Example:

Ky Xander

The database will generate a NIC-handle based on the initials of the name specified in the person attribute.

You may use multiple lines, but please keep remarks to a minimum.
