APNIC/APOPS seminar program
Look to the future
Attend seminars and plenary sessions investigating the future of IPv4, the move to IPv6 and the latest developments in Internet governance discussions from around the world. Hear opinions from key members of the global Internet community, including Rajnesh Singh from ISOC and Adiel Akplogan, CEO of AfriNIC and member of the Internet Governance Forum's Multistakeholder Advisory Group.
Policy SIG
Depletion of the available IPv4 pool is an important topic of discussion. Policy discussion will be focused on how our community should manage these resources and how to encourage transition to IPv6.
Training
APNIC Training, along with international guest trainers, will be providing three streams of training catering for all levels of experience:
Plan your IPv6 deployment
Learn about solutions for deploying IPv6 in your network. The course content is relevant for network engineers, managers and anyone concerned with IPv6 deployment.
Network security
Fortify your network and become a network detective with our practical, hands-on tutorial. Experience a simulated network attack and learn how to identify and respond to real attacks.
Internet Resource Management Essentials (IRME)
An informative tutorial covering Internet resource management basics.
Social events
Catch up with friends and build your social network at a series of fun events. These events will include a Maori cultural evening and a fascinating demonstration of one of the southern hemisphere's largest pipe organs.
Build your contact network
APNIC meetings give you plenty of opportunities to meet with key contacts from throughout the region and beyond. Use the social events scheduled each evening to network. Or take advantage of the many informal meeting spaces available each day to schedule meetings during the week.
