Re: [Wg-rms] Stepping down from co-chair role
Jas,
Maybe APNIC can clarify if the intent is to turn it
off tomorrow or guide people through some phased
transition?
The intent of the policy as presented at APNIC 22 called for a phased
implementation of the policy based on object type. The implementation
periods proposed were:
- 4 months after adoption: Stop accepting email updates for
domain objects
- 8 months after adoption: Stop accepting email updates for
inetnum, inet6num, and aut-num
objects
- 12 months after adoption: Stop accepting email update for the
remaining object types
Do you see these as too aggressive? Not aggressive enough? poor
structure?
There is no hard and fast rule that says the implementation can't be
lengthened or shortened as the membership requires.
Now is a good opportunity to suggest alterations to the proposal.
Cheers,
Terry
