Re: [Wg-rms] Stepping down from co-chair role

so you have a different process for dns than you do
for other data?

Actualy, myapnic allow create reverse domain object automatically which is not allowed with auto-dbm. That's why I create myself domain object via myapnic instead of sending request to apnic hostmaster.

Wouldn't now be a good time to start thinking of a new
system?? I see from things like the fee discussion
that stuff takes a very long time in the RIR and NIR
space to get done.

Maybe APNIC can clarify if the intent is to turn it
off tomorrow or guide people through some phased
transition?

Does "Bad for us" also cover you members? Are you
focusing on your processes or your members?

I think some describe below about our system will give the answer:
From web, member update their information to our database. System provide a tool that can export
member information to well text form and sent to auto-dbm. That means, I update apnic whoi database indirectly. At this moment, this system is quite satisfy with VNNIC which have just 20 members and less than /12 ipv4.

Let's answer the question: "Why does APNIC have to stop updating whois database by email?". Because the unsecure? I agree that the encrypted emails now is lack of security. The solution that can satisfy both is APNIC upgrade to the signed email update system instead of the current encrypted emails.

Nhung

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Firstly I didn't know that Vietnam had a NIR.
(excuse my ignorance)

Hi all,
It's Nhung, IP host master of VNNIC. Though became

more convenience update by email than myapnic.
Actually, we use a "home brewed" IP management
systems as Tim said. Thingking of a new system may
take a while. So, it's very very bad for us if
this prop-037-v001 was approval.

Three questions come to my mind.

o.k. unfair question perhaps. let me re-word.
is the short term pain of a better way out of the
question given the longer term benefits?
