Re: [SIG-IX] IPv6 Peering
Raphael,
1. Would you prefer:
a. to use dual-stack on the same port/collision domain
b. to have an entirely separate collision domain for v6 peering
We, JPNAP, tried both network.
At first, we built separate IPv6 only IXP named JPNAP6 on 2002.
Next, we built dual-stack on exist JPNAP on 2005.
So JPNAP has already tried both network configuration.
AFAIK, I cannot see major problem for both case.
Only one thing I can see is it's difficult to get
IPv6 traffic from dual-stacked network using sFlow
because traffic volume of IPv4/v6 is totally different.
Sampling rate for IPv4 is not fit for IPv6.
2. Would you prefer:
a. bi-lateral peering
b. multi-lateral peering
As you like.
We choose bi-lateral.

Toshinori
