[jobs-announce (apnic)] Vacancy - Policy Development Manager



APNIC is seeking an experienced candidate for a Policy Development Manager in our unique and exciting multicultural organisation, based in Brisbane, Australia.  

 

Policies for managing Internet resources in the Asia Pacific region are developed through open bottom up consensus based processes.  The Policy Development Manager is responsible for facilitating and supporting this process.  The role liaises closely with staff, APNIC members, and the Internet community to gather feedback, propose, draft and review polices for managing  Internet resources.

The successful candidate should have specific expertise and experience in the telecommunications environment, the Internet and ISP industry or Internet policy and regulation; in managing stakeholder relationships, experience working with people from a multicultural background; managing projects and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.  It is desirable for the ideal candidate to have a knowledge of TCP/IP and internet applications, familiarity with LAN/WAN networking technologies.

An attractive salary will be negotiated dependent on experience and qualifications.
