18th APNIC Open Policy Meeting
31 August- 3 September 2004
Nadi, Fiji


Dear APNIC members and friends

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend APNIC's 18th Open Policy Meeting.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in the Internet in this
region. It will be hosted by Telecom Fiji and Connect Fiji at Sheraton
Resorts, Nadi, Fiji, from 31 August-3 September 2004.



1. Meeting programme

APNIC meetings are a major forum for discussing technology and policy issues
relevant to the Asia Pacific Internet community. The programme will include
tutorials, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Birds of a Feather sessions
(BOFs), hostmaster consultations, the APNIC Member Meeting (AMM) and social
events. In addition to the meeting programme, the first ever IXP/ISP
networking essentials workshop in Pacific, 4-day pre-conference workshop,
will also be held in conjunction with PITA from 26 to 28 and 30 August. More
information will be available shortly.

Pre-conference:
 IXP/ISP networking essentials workshop      26-28 & 30 August 2004
                 
Main programme:
 Day 1 - Tuesday (Tutorials)                         31 August 2004

 Day 2 - Wednesday (Conference sessions and BOFs)  1 September 2004

 Day 3 - Thursday (Conference sessions and BOFs)   2 September 2004

 Day 4 - Friday (APNIC Member Meeting)             3 September 2004



2. Meeting sponsorship

Interested organisations are also invited to sponsor APNIC 18. In return for
their support, sponsors will be presented with valuable opportunities to
expose their organisation, products, and services to an international
audience of Internet leaders. Details of sponsorship options are available
