Reminder - APNIC Email System Upgrade 22-24 February 2002

This is a reminder that APNIC will upgrade its email ticketing and workflow
system from 5 pm Friday 22 to Sunday 24 February 2002.

During this upgrade, APNIC email processing will be suspended, and some
APNIC services will therefore be affected. APNIC’s email system will
continue to receive emails, but it will not perform any automatic forms
processing, or generate any email confirmations, until the upgrade has been
completed.

1. Ticketed Email addresses

Emails sent to the following ticketed email addresses will be affected:

    abuse
    apnic-dbm
    aunic-transfer
    billing
    dg
    help
    hostmaster
    info
    member-apply
    new-member-apply
    non-member-apply
    spam
    technical
    training
    webmaster


2. Automatic Forms Processing

Email sent to the following addresses for automatic processing will also be
affected:

	autodbm
	autodns

Because automatic processing of email forms will be suspended during the
upgrade, it is recommended that members submit any urgent requests prior to
the scheduled outage.

Normal email services will resume on Monday 25 February and any requests
received during the upgrade will then be actioned.

Please note that APNIC’s whois, in-addr and WWW services are not affected by
this upgrade, and will continue to operate normally.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
