CALL FOR PROPOSALS AND PRESENTATIONS: APNIC SIGs, NIR meeting

 APNIC Open Policy Meeting
 March 3-7th, 2002

Dear Colleagues

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and the NIR meeting are an open forum to
discuss policy issues related to the management of address space within the
Asia Pacific region.

This is a general call for content proposals relating to the following
sessions:

 Session                  Chair

 Reverse DNS              Paul Gampe <pgampe@redhat.com>
 Routing                  Philip Smith <pfs@cisco.com>
 Database                 Xing Li <xing@cernet.edu.cn>
 Address Policy           Takashi Arano <arano@gblx.ad.jp>
 IPv6 Technical           Jun Murai <jun@wide.ad.jp>
 Internet Exchange Point  Philip Smith <pfs@cisco.com> (acting chair)
 Certification Authority  Sanjaya <sanjaya@apnic.net> (acting chair)

 - Open NIR meeting       Maemura Akinori <maem@maem.org>

HOW TO PROPOSE CONTENT FOR A SESSION
------------------------------------

If you would like to take part in a SIG or the NIR meeting, please send a
proposal outlining your topic to <sig@apnic.net> with a cc to the
appropriate chair (see above).

Your proposal should:
  - be relevant to the special interest group, or NIR meeting;
  - be no more than 1000 words (or 10 slides if a presentation);
  - describe the pros/cons from various aspects of the proposal
    and provide a clear recommendation (not necessary for status
    reports);
  - indicate the time required (time limit of 10-15 minutes per
    presentation)


The closing date for content proposals is:

   Monday 7 January 2002

SIG chairs will notify acceptance of proposals by:

   Friday 11 January 2002
