Under an agreement with APNIC, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is assisting the APNIC Training Programme through administrative support for training events.

APNIC was founded as a pilot project of the APNG in 1992 (see History of APNIC). APNIC became fully independent by 1996, but continues to be a supporter of APNG.

APNIC was a cofounder of APRICOT in 1995, and manager of the event until 1997. APNIC continues to support APRICOT as a Platinum sponsor.

APNIC is a founding member of the ICANN Address Supporting Organization (ASO).

APNIC works with Autonomica on the deployment of I-root servers in the Asia Pacific region.

APNIC is also a participant in the ISC Bind Forum, which supports the development of BIND software. APNIC participates in the Sponsor category, which gives access to software updates, patches, security bulletins and other services. APNIC is a member of the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC), and works closely with the ISC on deployment of Root mirror servers in the Asia Pacific region.

APNIC is a Platinum member of the Internet Society. APNIC's contribution to ISOC is earmarked for support of the IETF RFC Editor function; cooperation with ISOC also extends to policy and educational activities.

APNIC and ISOC-AU have entered an MoU to work together to promote Internet infrastructure development, knowledge sharing, and training.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) to work together on promoting Internet development, meetings, training and educational activities in Bangladesh.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) to work together on promoting Internet development, meetings, training and educational activities in India.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal (ISPAN) to work together on promoting Internet development, meetings, training and educational activities in Nepal.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Internet Service Providers Association of Pakistan (ISPAK) to work together on promoting Internet development, meetings, training and educational activities in Pakistan.

APNIC is a Sector member of ITU-D, and continues to work closely with ITU in training and information exchange.

APNIC has established an MoU with the National Internet Development Agency of Korea (NIDA) to work together on promoting Internet development, meetings, training and educational activities in the Asia Pacific region.

The Number Resource Organisation (NRO) is a partnership of the current RIRs, including AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC and RIPE NCC, and was established to support cooperation on global technical and policy matters.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Pacific Islands Chapter of Internet Society (PICISOC) on promoting Internet infrastructure development, knowledge sharing and training in the Pacific Islands.

APNIC has established an MoU with the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA) to work together on resource management, education, training, and Internet infrastructure development activities in the Pacific region.

APNIC has established an MoU with SANOG to work together on meetings, training and educational activities in the South Asian region.
